Vizcat server

Vizcat data

Vizcat is the server used by VizieR to access large tables data.
Those large tables are stored in the RCF format.
Vizcat also hosts a copy of all other VizieR table having positions
in the HEALPix sorted and indexed FITS format (see fitstable-cli).

For all those tables, vizcat hosts derived products such as:
MOCs, Density maps, OTF HATS products, 𝛼𝛿-tree indexes, ...
Those products are e.g. used to allow to access On-the-fly (OTF) HATS products.
